Why to choose swimming?
The beneficial effects of swimming on the human body can hardly be overestimated. It is a sport that helps you become fit, strong, agile and resilient, strengthens and develops all the body’s internal systems, and promotes harmonious body development, improvement of muscle definition, weight loss and normalisation of weight.
There are many reasons to go swimming, regardless of whether you are training seriously or just going to the pool for fun:
- water reduces stress, relaxes you and gives your body a boost of energy;
- swimming is a sport with hardly any disadvantages or contraindications – it is the sport that can be practised at all ages;
- the level of endorphin, the so-called joy hormone, rises in the blood during swimming and stays high afterwards;
- Your child can swim with the intensity that suits him or her best – as a beginner or as a competitor;
- Swimming activates the muscle groups of the whole body;
- Swimming is an excellent prevention of heart disease; if you swim regularly, you can increase your body’s endurance and prevent cardiovascular disease;
- Swimming is an excellent way to train the central nervous system and the heart and to improve brain function;
- impoves the coordination of body movements;
- builds endurance;
- swimming is a great way to strengthen the respiratory muscles helping to develop the lungs;
- Swimming is a vascular exercise: when you enter the water, our vessels shrink and widen at the exit, this way the body hardens and the blood pressure is normalized;
- Swimming is an excellent prevention of scoliosis in children and adolescents and posture improves (swimming relaxes the muscles close to the spine and reduces the load on the spinal column);
- swimming strengthens health and promotes longevity;
- it cleanses the skin and provides a natural and gentle body massage with water;
- swimming increases your body’s resistance to harsh environmental conditions, cold and sudden changes in temperature; it improves your thermoregulation, making you less susceptible to cold-related illnesses and increasing your immunity (the body is quenched by the cooler water);
- swimming is fun for all generations of the family, it is a great pastime for all ages (it is a great hobby, you will get nothing but pleasure from this activity).
